Assembly  Obligations 

1.  rromptuess  is  a  virtue  U>  lie  desired.  Be  it  imder- 
stood  that  everybody  will  try  to  be  on  time  for  all 
services,  meals  and  otlier  affairs  of  a  general  nature. 

2.  Everybody  is  required  to  take  a  study  course. 

3.  Four  afternoons  are  fi'ee  for  recreation. 

4.  Swimming  hours  at  both  lakes  are  to  be  observed  as 
follows : 

Women  and  girls  1 :3ti  to  4  :0(»  in  the  afternoon.  Men 
and  boys  4  :00  to  5  :30  in  the  afternoon.  Wraps  must  be 
worn  over  bathing  suits  going  to  and  returning  from  the 
lakes. 

5.  Hiking  or  riding  parties  will  leave  notice  at  Hotel 
office  and  name  of  chaperon  not  later  than  11 :40  a.m. 
prior  to  the  afternoon  trip  or  10 :00  o'clock  the  night 
before  an  early  morning  trip. 

6.  There  must  be  quiet  in  and  around  all  Assembly 
buildings  until  seven  o'clock  in  the  morning. 

7.  No  games,  indoor  or  outdoor,  are  to  be  played 
during  the  services. 

S.  Valuables  are  not  to  be  left  in  the  rooms.  Havt 
them  locked  in  the  safe  at  the  office. 

9.  Riding  or  sitting  in  cars  after  the  Assembly  Campus 
is  lighted  will  not  be  allowed. 

10.  Couples  have  the  privilege  of  strolling  at  night  on 
that  part  of  the  campus  that  is  lighted,  save  during 
services. 

11.  Everybody  will  observe  the  call  to  rooms  at  ten 
o'clock. 

12.  All  rooms  will  be  inspected  ten  minutes  after  the 
call  to  rooms.  Any  one  found  absent  from  rooms  at  that 
time  will  be  reported  to  the  Assembly  Government. 

13.  Any  (me  lireaking  faith  with  any  of  these  obliga- 
tions will  reixirt  in  person  to  the  Assembly  Government.

Q.  What  will  be  the  nature  of  the  Annual  B.  Y. 

P.  U.  Convention  this  year? 
A.  The   three-day   inspirational   conventions   of 

the  past  will  te  merged  vnth  the  Assem- 

hly  type  of  program. 

Q.  What  is  the  date  of  the  Convention- Assembly? 
A.  Begins  Saturday  night,  July  4th,  closes  Fri- 
day night,  July  10th. 

Q.  Where  will  the  Convention- Assembly  be  held? 

A.  Ridgecrest,  N.  C. — Southern  Baptist  Assem- 
hlp  Grounds.  On  Southern  Railway  and 
State  Highway  Numl)er  10,  eighteen  miles 
east  of  Asheville. 

Q.  Will  there  be  inspirational  features  as  form- 
erly? 

A.  There  most  certainly  will  he.  This  phase  of 
our  program  must  &e  retained. 

Q.  Are  Study  Courses  to  be  offered? 
A.  Yes,  books  for  every  division  of  B.  Y.  P.  U. 
will  be  taught. 

Q.  Will  full  credit  be  given  for  these  courses? 
A.  Awards  will  be  granted  all  those  completing 
a  booh  mth  exam,ination. 

Q.  Will    there   be    conferences,    demonstrations, 

etc.? 
A.  Yes. 

Q.  What  of  the  Assembly  accommodations? 

A.  Delegates  tvill  be  entertained  in  Pritchelle 
Hotel  and  Annexes.  All  rooms  coinpletely 
furnished  with  linens,  towels,  etc.

Q.  What  of  the  cost? 

A.  Two  dollars  per  day.  Children  3  to  10  years 
old  inclusive,  one-half  price,  i.  e.,  $1.00 
per  day.  Children  2  years  and  under,  no 
charge.  Any  one  staying  less  than  one 
day  would  pay  regular  rates,  $1.00  per 
night,  50  cents  breakfast  or  supper,  15 
cents  dinner. 


What  will  the  registration  fee  be? 
One  dollar  as  heretofore.

What  about  special  transportation  rates? 

Special  round  trip  tourist  rates  are  available  , 
on  railroads.   Ask  your  ticket  agent.  j 

Buses  can  be  chartered  on  a  mileage  basis  ' 
of  35  cents  per  mile.    Thirty  can  be  ac- 
commiodatedj.     J.    A.    Harrison,    Raleigh, 
Route  2,  can  furnish  buses. 

Q.  What  about  delegates  using  their  cars  for  the 

trip? 
A.  To  use  a  car  is  the  cheapest  and  best  way  to 

go.    You  will  want  a  car  while  there. 

Q.  Will  there  be  time  for  recreation? 

A.  The  afternoons  ivill  be  given  over  entirely  to 

recreation.    An  experienced  director  will 

be  in  charge. 

Q.  What  recreational  facilities  are  available? 

A.  Tennis  courts,  baseball  diamond,  shuffle 
boards,  swim,ming  pools,  mountain  trips, 
hiking,  golf  links,  hard  surfa<;e  roads,  etc. 

Q.  What  equipment  should  be  brought  for 
recreation  ? 

A.  Tennis  equipment,  bathing  suits,  and  hiking 
outfits  such  as  knickers  and  walking  shoes, 
golf  clubs. 

Q.  Who  is  supposed  to  attend  the  Convention- 
Assembly? 

A.  Leaders  in  all  divisions  of  B.  Y.  P.  V.,  pas- 
tors, B.  Y.  P.  U.  members. 


Q.  Are  delegations  limited? 
A.  They  are  not.    All  applications  will  6e  ac- 
cepted until  all  rooming  space  is  taken. 

Q.  Should  Juniors  and  Intermediates  have  older 
companions? 

A.  By  all  means  an  older  person  should  accom- 
pany and  accept  full  responsihility  for 
Juniors  and  Intermediates. 

Q.  Will  the  Assembly  have  definite  rules  and 

regulations  to  govern  itself? 
A.  Yes,  such  regulations  as  the  AssemMy  may 

adopt  for  the  general  comfort  and  welfare. 

Q.  Who  will  appear  on  the  program? 

A.  Southwide  Secretaries,  college  presidents. 
Seminary  Professors,  several  out-of-state 
B.  Y.  P.  TJ.  Secretaries  and  Junior-Inter- 
mediate Leaders,  pastors  and  North  Caro- 
lina young  people. 

Q.  Should  churches  and  B.  T.  P.  U.'s  create  a 
"Convention   Fund?" 

A.  Decidedly  so.  Many  will  find  it  impossible  to 
go  unless  aided  financially.  To  send  a  dele- 
gate xoill  he  to  make  a  worthy  Kingdom 
contribution.
